Men, Are You Going?

Christian Men's Event Announced for Washington, D.C. Oct. 6 “Stand in the Gap” Planned Once Every Decade

Washington, D.C., May 18 – A call to the nation’s men went out from the National Press Club on Thursday. “Stand in the Gap 2007” (www.standinthegap2007.org), a spiritual gathering of men, will be held on the grounds of the Washington Monument on Saturday, October 6, 2007.

Lead organizer, the Rev. Martin H. “Marty” Granger, said, “We are calling upon men of all ages, men in their teens and 20s, men in their 30s and 40s, men in their 50s and 60s, and men in their 70s and beyond, to come together in one place, on one day, with full regard and full respect for racial, ethnic, denominational, economic and political diversity, to declare to each other, each in his own style and each in his own language, the works of God, the purposes of God, and the plans of God for their generation.”

Confirmation Class Goes for a Loop!

Pastor Paul and the 2007 Confirmation Class spent yesterday at HersheyPark. Over half the class was able to re-unite for a fun-filled day and renew earlier friendships. We even hear Pastor Paul led the way on the 75mph Storm Rider attraction (see slide show above).

Dedication Celebration



Hundreds upon hundreds turned out for the dedication of the 10 Commandments Memorial! The weekend was filled with fun, food and a thought-provoking message.

14 adventurers from the Senior Center ventured into the past Friday with a trip to the Philadelphia's Academy of Natural Sciences. The museum is promoting an amazing butterfly collection and an insider's look at the riches of the Amazon river.
