Way to Go, Tim!
Congratulations to Tim Derr for receiving the 2009 Governor’s Outstanding Youth Volunteer Service Award. Tim is the son of Gwen Derr of Middletown.
This prestigious award recognizes Delaware youths who demonstrate a commitment to community service through exceptional volunteer effort and dedication. "This is a great opportunity to recognize the enormous contribution that youth volunteers make to our community," said Delaware Health and Social Services Communications Director, Jay Lynch. "These boys and girls and young men and women, and the organizations they serve, truly make a better Delaware through volunteerism and community service."
Tim is active in the Cornerstone Student Ministry and is also the young man behind the lion costume on the weekends. So next time you see Tim, shake his paw and congratulate him on his achievement.
